Children are naturally curious. There is a world of opportunity for science communication to create new formats for this audience. Four science journalists will share enticing ways to attract children to science, and foster a lifelong interest in science information.

Andrea Obaid Carrión is a science journalist, and radio and TV host. She has 20 years of experience creating multi-platform projects in science, technology, and the environment. These include television series, radio programmes, podcasts, books, applications, and photography exhibitions.
Angela Posada-SwaffordSpeaker | Independent | United States
Angela Posada-Swafford has specialised as a science journalist for 35 years. In 2023, she created and implemented the project My Field Logbook, Colombia’s biodiversity scientifically and creatively narrated and illustrated from a child’s perspective. She contributes to National Geographic USA, Nature, SciAm.

Pere Estupinyà has dedicated 23 years to science communication. He is the presenter and director of El Cazador de Cerebros (Brain Hunter), and has written for El País, La Vanguardia, SINC agency, National Geographic, Scientific American, and has published five popular science books.

Martín De Ambrosio has worked as a science journalist for over two decades. He freelances for various TV and radio programmes. He also works in print media, and writes for La Nación, the British Medical Journal and Nature. He is the vice-president of the Argentine Science Journalism Network.
